Harsh why Fever Pitch? Why would she be a loss to the Irish public? Compare her to Mr Joe Dolan in the 'celeb' deaths listing. No comparison, as here is a man who actually will be genuinely missed by a large number of people for his talent, presence and memories. She contributed nothing. Yet we have a multiple of the column inches dedicated to her and galwaybhoy wasting server space with more trivial news on her.

I know who’d rather look at in the papers anyway between her and Joe Dolan, and I’m sure I’m not alone.
I wouldn’t dream of disrespecting Joe Dolan fans sensitivities over their loss similarly you should afford admirers of Katy the same privilege.

Many people in Ireland followed Joe Dolan for 30-40 years and in particular women have gone to his shows many times in this period. They would have genuine grief at his death as they say goodbye to a man they genuinely loved. What sensitivities would one of these Katy admirers have & what is their loss. Surely the Sunday Indo has got pictures of other drugged up nobodies to replace her?

The outcry of emotion when a drug user died of an overdose was startling.

However if her death results in less people taking cocaine and more efforts being made in put the dealers behind bars, then she will have made a much greater impact in death than anything she might have achieved in life.

secondly her death will not dissuade anyone from taking coke because the media conspired to call her death "tragic circumstances" rsther than allude to the coke
thirdly they tried to make a diana out of her

However at the end of the day in my opinion if your going to be stupid enough to take drugs that you know can kill you then its a choice you make knowing the consequences. Around the same time them two boys in Waterford died and the comparison between the media reporting between their and Katy French's death was an embarassment.
