3 MAIN RULES
POSTING
Do not post any messages that are offensive, provocative, obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening or otherwise in violation of any laws. Do not attack other members or curse in excess. Any references to players, managers or GAA officials personal circumstances will be frowned upon severely and will lead to censure.
Non GAA topics are welcome but this site will primarily serve to promote discussion of our great national games. As a rule of thumb we’d like to keep the split of GAA/Non GAA topics over 70/30.
SPAMMING (two kinds)
1) Promotion of your own commercial website is strictly not allowed. Any posts seen "advertising" a website will immediately be deleted, and clarehurlers.net reserves the right to notify your server host. If you are interested in advertising, contact me at matt@clarehurlers.net or send a private message to an administrator.
There is no harm posting a link to other GAA websites that have content relevant to the discussion on hand at that point in time. Conversely anyone who slags off other websites constantly is subject to censure and possible expulsion.
2) Any users who sign up with the intent to provoke and spam the forum with useless messages will not only be banned, but also their ISP will be notified.
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
One username is enough. If a user is caught having more than one account, the excess accounts will be terminated and the user will receive a warning.
----------------------------------------------------------------
BREAKING THE RULES
We have a warning system, which allows the moderators to issue warnings in the forums they moderate. Any member who breaks the rules will receive a warning of 30-100% depending on the severity of the violation in question. One can get several warnings before serving the ultimate punishment, which would be a ban. Warnings usually expire in 30-45 days. Bans can last longer. Not respecting one's ban can lead to an IP ban. i.e. re-registering under an alias after a banning will be monitored.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Please do not consider following the rules as a necessary evil. Their purpose is to make everyone's time at clarehurlers.net as enjoyable as possible. If you have a need to express yourself in other ways, then do so somewhere else. All we are asking is respect towards others members.
Thank you for your attention and happy posting!
Rules are subject to change at Admin discretion.
