2 games in and it depends what we want from the league?
We were on a hiding to nothing going to Pearse stadium and put up a very good score with an unknown team. I didn’t travel to Scariff so I don’t know how they did against Laois. Still if you told me we’d be sitting on 1 win and 1 defeat after 2 games and potentially finding a scoring forward I’d be delighted.
Limerick game will be the key to see how far we’ve come and how far we need to go. We’ll lace into Tipp at home but it won’t tell us anything even if we do beat their young team imo.

We're flying at the moment. Team looks strong and I think we could cause a big surprise this year. Some people writing us off but we should stay positive and think big. I want to see Clare in an AI final and will be disappointed with anything less. We're no worse than tipp and they seem to think they have a great chance.

'Flying at the moment' might be a bit optimistic, unless you're talking about how things are going in training Colin.
The scoreline in Salthill really flattered us, and with all due respect to Laois it would have been a bit of a disaster to lose that match. Laois also put up a fair score in that game, 1-14 I think, which would be worrisome from a defensive point of view.
We will certainly need a flying Griffin & Carmody come summer, and to come up with the right players for the pivotal positions of full-back and centre-back - I thought Gerry Quinn had a couple of great games at CB last year (shouldn't have been picked against Limerick) and may continue to blossom there.
Hopefully Flaherty will continue his progress as well, a bit of certainty from the frees would be helpful.
Waterford will be the hottest of favs on June 1, something Clare will be comfortable with.

Limerick,Tip and Offaly are left,realistically to make the playoffs we need all 3 games,lets take em one at a time and see what happens.I think their on the right track and all we can ask for is improvement.Whats going on with Griffin?
