Because of bad planning, social conditions. Limerick planners were guilty of creating massive housing estates or who areas of a city to council housing. Now we have regeneration which is spread the skang will be evenly spread amongst us all.

Bad breeding in both locations. Scum breeds scum but when you have scum on both the sire & mares bloodline you wind up with an even worse form of violent scum. A culling process is required in parts of Limerick & West Dublin if order is ever to be restored to these areas.
You will notice that the better breeding in Cork means that we don't have so much of a problem with the underclass in our county.

Was at a stag in Clonmel a few weeks back and was awful rough. Stayed in a B&B up around the Prior Park/Garrymore area and it was brutal. Then after the nighclub one of the lads got attacked by some homeless guy sleeping outside one of the boarded up shops on O'Connell Street. Some nutshole. Limerick is alright if you stay out of the bad areas.

Exactly. Stay out of the rough areas and you'll be grand in Limerick. Of course there's the usual rows between drunken yobbos at 'letting out' time every so often, but to be fair not as many as I've seen in places like Athlone, Tralee and I'm sure in loads of other middling to big size towns.

Thats my whole point regarding Limerick.. Its fine on the main roads into it from Dublin Road Ennis Road..Corballly..Raheen..All middle class areas... But to the left and right of these areas lie mass areas of council housing.. Left of the Dublin Road..Garryowen,Roxboro,Hyde Road,Southill,Janesboro,Weston, Right of the Dublin road..De-Island Field,Balla,Moyross Exactly. Stay out of the rough areas and you'll be grand in Limerick. I had the misfortune of being in Nenagh, Tipp town and Thurles after hours and have to say I saw some of the most violent acts I’ll ever witness. Unmitigated savagery. The Barge & Pockets in Ennis are pure harmless after hours compared to the carry on of these small towns.
Limerick city is very safe in the city centre, as is Dublin south of the river. It’s the small Provincial towns we should be policing.

Aye, the planners didn't make a great job of it. But as a city and it's relative roughness, I feel the roughness is more or less confined to those areas, and between the lads and lassies from there.

Within the big cities the scum rarely actually venture into town at night time. They prefer to hang out in their little local scum hole pubs where they can bottle each other and snort coke of the pool tables to their hearts content. So you rarely see much trouble with scumbags in Limerick, Dublin, Cork city on a saturday night. It's usually just drunken eejits havin a cut off each other outside supermacs.
In the smaller provenical towns their isn't such a wide range of venues so the scumbags and regular joes come into contact more often during the course of a Saturday night so this can lead to eat being a lot rougher in these towns.

Think Nenagh is the best of a bad lot and Thurles is improving. Last time I went to Ennis was for a 21st. I thought there would be war looking at the scangers hanging around the town early on, but to my pleasant surprise there was no agro. A great night out. Limerick has a bad rep but is a safe place to go out in,I've never had any hassle in there. Like all college towns there is a worse vibe at the weekend but like most places if you avoid the dodge areas of the city you'll be grand.

Went to clge in Limerick for four years and in all that time I only saw 2 fights, and both involved students not from Limerick. If you want to find rough in Limerick you will, just like you will in any small town in Ireland. Tipp town can be rough, was out in Ennis three times and seen boxing two nights. One night two girls took into each other outside the nightclub on the one way street, jaysus you wouldn't a seen some of the moves on UFC!

some spot Limerick lads. some atmosphere after the matches and the pubs are unreal. i never saw any trouble there and i dont know why you saying that its crap. i don't know where all the knackers live but they don't live near the centre lads. Cork is some spot as well and Galway. was down in Waterford last year and i thought it was crap and most of dublin is crap although i must say around the RDS is nice alright.
