Does anyone know what exactly is the story with Brian's injury? I'm hearing negative things about his prospects but it's hard to get exact information.

Its his old knee problem from a few years ago back with a bang. He can't run for more than 10 minutes without pain. Really sad news for BB. I know his old mans family, he's not expected to play this summer sadly.

shame for the lad, He has been plagued with injuries for the last number of years, had a bad back as well I believe. To be honest though do not think he will be a massive loss to Limerick.

I was talking to a guy from Limerick yesterday. He said it's his crucial ligaments, the same as Henry. Said he'd miss the league campaign.

They cannot be operated on at the same level of instensity again so unfortunately this could be very serious. He played 10 mins against Wexford in Golden last Sunday my source tells me and was in serious pain after it.

sorry to hear that. word was he'd be fit for the tipp game, back injury mentioned at the time, but obviously he's suffered a series of setbacks.
he would certainly be a loss, had a hand in all 5 goals in last years semi and improved dramatically as the year went on.
great to see a whole list of gaa-related topics on a discussion board by the way.

I see that he is listed in The Examiner today as having come on as a sub in Newtownshandrum last night. It didn't state how much of a run-out he got, or how he played. What's the story here? A fit Begley is crucial to Limerick's chances this year.

very sad about begley, sounds like it could be career threathening. remember his starting off as a no nonsense full back. make enoumous strides as a full forward under cregan's tutulege.
