Not buying all this rubbish about a Tipp resurgence, They win two minors and suddenly people are talking about them. Eoin Kelly is past his best, he was not that effective for Tipp last year, and ended up being dropped ! could you imagine Shefflin being dropped. When we put it up to Tipp last year, they did not want to know. I expece a Cork resurgence, I expect Limerick to make steady progress.

Eoin Kelly was struggling for fitness for most of last season, he will be a lot better this year. Tipp showed no heart against limerick last year but i expect them to be a different side this year and hopefully win munster.

Don’t know anything about Rugby in Tipperary but I think it’s a case of the standard at underage dropping everywhere except for Tipperary & Galway. At senior level Tipp are no threat whatsoever for 2008. In a one off they may put it up to 1 of the big teams. Winning an All-Ireland means they will have to put it up to one of the big boys more than once however and they are quite simply not up to the standard of Cork, Galway or Waterford let alone Kilkenny.
They would be somewhere between Limerick and Clare in my senior rankings at this moment.

Tipp are flying in the league. I think they're on the way up, up, up! 3 games away from an AI appearance v Galway, shades of 2001 ...

I would put Tipp as the fifth county In Munster. Clare at least managed to beat Galway last year.

Whatever about the overall standard of hurling in Tipp, they couldn't possibly be as poor and as poorly managed as they were under Babs.
My rankings
Wd Cark Limerick Galway Wexford Chipp Clare Offaly Dublin Antrim Leix ourselves

Kilkenny out ahead by a country mile
Waterford wont win an AI but second at the moment/Cork will probably drop back this year
Tipp on the rise but will take another 2/3yrs /Galway could be Kilkennys main threat this year/ Limerick (think they have peaked..hatchety hurling wins nothing) Clare peaked 10years ago, finished for the foreseeable future/Wexford have a game in them every year
Dublin 4/5yrs time could be serious, will be serious u21 for the next few years.

Tipp are on the rise..But this is only being based on minor success. You know yourselves with minors, some of them could be in the Drunk Tank by next year. Overall..I think there is fierce hunger in Tipp at present, like there was on 2000-2001..Basically the Bullnuts is over, Babs was an indulgence in hindsight, now its down to business for Tipp.

I think rugby is making big in roads in Tipperary GAEJ have become aware of this new discussion forum and will be monitoring it. Comments like above will not be tolerated. For those of you unaware of GAEJ as unlikely as that is, we are the fastest growing organisation in Ireland fighting against Event Junkies and Bandwagons. Either type beware.
